MATINEE clinical study – Recruiting Now
Consider enrolling in a local clinical study for another option. The MATINEE clinical research study is testing an investigational medication in people with advanced COPD. Researchers want to learn if it may help decrease the rate of symptom ‘flare-ups’ that these patients have.
Do you qualify for the MATINEE clinical study for COPD?
You must:
• Be 40 years of age or older
• Be a current or former smoker living with COPD
• Take two or more medications for your COPD
• Have had one or more ‘flare-ups’ of your COPD symptoms in the last year that required treatment or hospitalisation
If you volunteer and qualify, enrolment will last for up to 55 weeks. As part of the study, you will continue to take your current COPD medications. You will also have study visits at which you will be given EITHER the investigational medication OR a placebo – a saline solution with no medicine in it – as a monthly injection.
